Profile

I have been working in the area of web design and print design for 10 years. My recent job with the Union Tribune has taught me many valuable skills in print production as well as deadline management. I have also developed a magazine for my community that was published for 8 months. During that time I created all the page layouts, photo correction, graphic design and advertising design. The magazine went to the web where I have created a community portal with the use of CMS. My portfolio will showcase some of my work that I have done for clients with the use of Wordpress, Joomla, CSS and other mediums.

Objective

Currently I’m seeking a position in web development and/or graphic design that will challenge my abilities. My ideal job would be with a news media website that uses both print as well as web to report on the news. I feel my skills would be beneficial for a company that wants to have a website while also maintaining their print product. Would prefer a hired full-time position in the San Diego area, but other areas with consideration.

  Creating plus maintaining a community web portal with the use of a content management scripts. Working with advertisers to build online banner ads to publish on the site. Editing video from various events, and then adding them to the website. Managing all social markets to promote the website and our sponsors.

  Designing both websites and print material for clients. Managing ongoing projects and developing schedules to meet the clients deadlines. Using all forms of graphic design tools to develop a product that follows the client’s project needs. Creating ongoing SEO marketing for various websites as well as social marketing management.

  Working under a strict deadline building the newspaper on a daily basis. Helping both editors and designers to create the pages to specifications they desired. Outputting negatives for plate production. Doing print preparation on both advertising files and in house editorial items.
